BCA Begins the Accredidation Process
In May 2008, the BCA Accredidation Steering Committee met with Christian Schools International to formally kick-off the accredidation process. Over the next 15 months, BCA parents, students, teachers, administrators and board members will prepare for a site visit from five other schools to inspect BCA and recommend our accreditation.
5th Grade Update
We are happy to announce that Nancy Overhiser has accepted the position of 5th grade teacher for next year. The 5th grade class will be a self-contained class. Applications are now being accepted for BCA's first 5th grade class.
Teacher Welcome our newest Faculty Member - Troy Gabriele
BCA is very pleased to announce the addition of Troy Gabriele to our staff as a teacher, coach, and athletic director. Mr. Gabriele comes to us with a Bachelor of Physics from the University of Southern Maine and will be teaching Calculus and middle school science for us next year. In addition to being a scholar, Mr. Gabriele also has
a distinguished record as an athlete and coach, playing soccer, basketball, and baseball. Mr. Gabriele will be
growing our high school athletics program this year with both girls and boys high school basketball. He will also be
working in conjunction with Covenant Christian Academy to field joint high school girls and boys soccer teams,
boys wrestling (coached by Mr. O), boys baseball, and girls softball for next spring.
Applications for 5th Grade Available
We are in the process of offering a fifth grade class for next year. We have
identified potential space, we have several excellent teachers interested in the position and we have good
interest on the part of families. Applications are available on our website and are due as soon as possible.
Congratulations to our Seniors
Our Seniors are in the process of receiving college acceptances. They have been accepted to the following colleges to date: Colby Sawyer, Eastern University, Flagler College, Gordon College, Salem State University, and University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
Wrestling and Horsemanship Clubs Begin
BCA will offer two new after school programs beginning in April. The Wrestling Club will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:30. The Horsemanship Club will meet on Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:30.
Dominican Republic Mission Trip a Huge Success!
Thanks to your prayers and support, on Feburary 16, 2008, after months of preparation and fundraising, Bradford Christian Academy sent its first international mission team of 23 students and teachers to Batey Angelina, Dominican Republic. Pictures and a summary of the trip are available in our online overview.
Open House - Thursday, April 10, 2008
Bradford Christian Academy invites all interested families to our next Open House to be held on Thursday, April 10 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the school. This is a great opportunity to learn more about BCA and meet our leaders and faculty.
"Alex in Americaland" - March 27-29, 2008
The students of Bradford Christian Academy will present this modern version of the Lewis Carroll class story, Alice in Wonderland. This Amerian adaption examines the adventure of Alex, an observant young man, as he encounters a twenty-first century "wonderland".

SAT Prep Class to be Offered
The class will be taught by Tina Cook, a BCA parent
and a certified PSAT and SAT Test Preparation
Instructor trained by Princeton Review. The
discounted course price is $395 per student and
includes over 20 hours of class time, 2 books and online
access to several study tools. Classes begin on
Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 3-5 PM at the
school.

"An Evening of Carols" - Friday, December 14, 2007
The birth of our Savior will be celebrated through various art forms, including music, a theatrical presentation, visual art and selected readings. Please join us at West Congregational Church in Haverhill MA at 7:00 pm.
Dominican Republic Mission Team February 2008
Fifteen students have been selected to participate in the Dominican Republic Mission Trip to the community of Batey Angelina, Dominican Republic to help construct a school building to house a student center sponsored by Compassion International. The trip will be lead by experienced mission team coordinators Margaret and Mark Cottrell and Sharon Ziegler. These students have sent their support letters to family and friends. Please join us as we pray that their letters are fruitful for both financial support and prayer coverage.
Soccer Season Concludes
The BCA Soccer Team ended its final season game tied with Cohen Hillel. Their season record was 3 wins, 3 ties and 3 losses. A banquet celebrating the season will be held in late November at West Congregational Church. Details will be announced. Join us in congratulating the team!

Basketball - our girls' and boys' interscholastic teams led by Coach Williams.
Soccer - our co-educational, interscholastic soccer team led by Coach Bueno each Fall
Art League - will meet Fridays after school
Voice Lessons - will be held Thursdays after school
Horseback Riding Club - will meet Mondays after school at Atkinson Riding Academy
Praise Band - meets Tuesdays to prepare for Chapel
Student Council - plans socials and represents the students
