Bradford Christian Academy Christmas Concert Rings in Holidays on a Joyous Note

BRADFORD, MA, Dec. 23, 2005 – Joined by nearly two hundred friends and family members, students from Bradford Christian Academy (BCA) performed their first Christmas Concert. The program, which celebrated the holiday season in song, was held recently at the Family Life Center at First Church Congregational in Boxford – the first event to be held at the newly completed facility.

“This inspiring event was an opportunity for us to share the warmth and joy of the season through music. The arts are an important part of our curriculum, and we hope to establish this concert as an annual tradition for our students and family,” said Larry George, headmaster of Bradford Christian Academy.

Choirs from the 6th and 7th grades, and combined 8th – 10th grades, performed a variety of selections ranging from spirituals and ethnic songs to classical and traditional favorites. Music teacher Carolyn A. Sawyer, who joined the BCA faculty this year, conducted the performance.

Bradford Christian Academy is planning a series of events to introduce families and students to its academic, arts and athletics programs, starting with an Open House on January 22. A college preparatory middle- and high-school institution, the school is dedicated to academic excellence and the integration of faith and learning.

With a campus located at the former Knipe School in Bradford, the school is conveniently located at the junction of Route 133 / I-495 / Route 125 and Route 97. It serves students from more than a dozen cities and towns throughout the Merrimack Valley and North Shore as well as New Hampshire towns near the 495 corridor. While it is rooted in Christian teachings, Bradford Christian Academy is independent of any specific church or denomination.

Applications for enrollment in grades 6-11 are now being accepted. For additional information about the school and its programs, families can call 978-373-7900 or visit the website, www.bradfordchristianacademy.org.
