BCA Float Wins Prize In Santa Parade

BRADFORD, MA, Nov. 23, 2005 – Bradford Christian Academy (BCA) students and familiesmade the school’s first appearance in Haverhill’s Santa Parade a winning one. BCA’s float, designed around the theme “For God So Loved The World” and decorated with flags of many nations, won the Commander’s Award for the “most original, creative float.” It was also awarded second place in the School Category.
BCA’s participation in the 41 st Annual VFW Santa Parade represented a multi-level collaboration between families, students and supporters of the school. Barbara Greenwood, whose son Joey attends the school, designed the float, and Rogers Spring Hill Farm donated use of a flatbed truck on which the float was constructed. Several BCA students rode in the float.
“So many people involved with BCA generously donated their time and resources to make it possible for our students to participate in the parade. Their spirit and enthusiasm was truly amazing. It was heartening to see the joy on our students’ faces as they shared the beautiful message of God’s love, peace and hope that defines the holiday season,” said Larry George, BCA’s headmaster.
