BCA Offers Class For Parenting Of Teens
Experts will Discuss Teen Behavior and Outline Effective Parenting Strategies
BRADFORD, MA, November 29, 2006 – Bradford Christian Academy is pleased to offer a “Parenting Teens” class to members of the community. This four-part class will explore teen behavior and strategies that parents can use to successfully negotiate through a time that is challenging for teens and their parents.
Expert speakers will include Linda Liebert from the Pregnancy Care Center , who will discuss sexual awareness and the fallacy of “safe sex”. Ken Munger, an individual and family counselor, will speak about how to handle academic difficulties and how to improve the chances of success at school. Larry George, Headmaster of BCA, will discuss the tremendous influence parents have on their teens, and how important effective communication is as teens go through the process of developing their own separate identity. Participants will gain an understanding of the physical, social and psychological changes that affect teens, and learn strategies for handling the inevitable parent/teen conflicts. In the time provided for questions and group discussion parents will gain an appreciation that they are not alone as they face the challenges of parenting their teenager.
The sessions will take place on January 16, 23 and 30 and February 6 at 7:00 PM . Cost for the four sessions is $50 per person/couple and reservations may be made by calling 978-373-7900. Space is limited.
