Giving To BCA

In 2007, Headmaster Larry George and Board President Vicki Kennedy unveiled the 2007 Fundraising Campaign and plans for the future growth of Bradford Christian Academy. The campaign, "From a Mustard Seed We Grow" was BCA's only fundraiser this year and helped offset the $2,292 per student gap between the actual cost of a BCA education and what is charged for tuition. As of June, 2007, the campaign has raised $88,716 with gifts still coming in. Thank you to the individuals, businesses, and foundations that contributed to the school. It is not too late to support BCA! All parents are encouraged to contribute to the school through tax-deductible gifts, according to their means. BCA also seeks funding from non-parent donors, corporations, and foundations. Tax-deductible gifts to BCA’s From a Mustard Seed We Grow campaign:

Bridge the gap between the revenue generated by school tuition and the true cost of operating the school
Allow BCA to pursue educational enhancements while remaining an excellent value for our current and prospective families.
Provide financial aid for income-eligible students.

For credit card payments: after clicking the Donate Now button below, select the link “Don't have a PayPal account? Click here” at the bottom of the Paypal Checkout section. Other Fundraising Programs

Every year our nation's businesses give millions of dollars supporting non-profit organizations like Bradford Christian Academy. You can support our school community, together with your friends and family members, to help BCA receive as much as $14,500 from these corporations through a few simple activities that won't cost you anything.

Below is a description of the activities that you and your friends and family can do that will raise money for BCA.

Search the web using Goodsearch.com.

By using Goodsearch instead of other search engines you can send BCA 1¢ for every web search you conduct. Goodsearch is powered by Yahoo giving searchers high quality results.

Possible Impact: if 300 people average 5 searches each day for one year, BCA will receive $5475.

How you can use Goodsearch:

Log onto www.goodsearch.com.
In the "Who do you choose to search for?" window, type in Bradford Christian Academy
Every time you search the internet, do so through goodsearch.com
You may choose to make Goodsearch your home page or add it to your browser toolbar by following the directions on the Goodsearch home page.

Do your Christmas and year-round shopping on-line with merchants who support BCA.

Hundreds of nationally known merchants like Kohl's, Target, Staples, Barnes and Noble, Old Navy, Land's End, Family Christian Stores, Home Depot, The Container Store, Crabtree & Evelyn, and Prescriptives donate a percentage of your purchase to BCA if you access the merchant's website through either Goodsearch.com or Benevolink.com. These on-line merchants use state-of-the-art security to ensure protection of user identity and personal information. Benevolink and Goodsearch offer different merchants with some overlap, so check both for your favorite stores. A list of popular merchants for each website is attached.

Potential impact: if 100 people each make purchases totaling $1,000 over one year, BCA would receive $5,000.

How you can use Benevolink and Goodsearch for on-line shopping:

For Benevolink:

Log on to www.benevolink.com
Register as a user. This sets up an account allowing Benevolink to track the money you earn from merchants for BCA.
On Benevolink's home page select Give. Select Bradford Christian Academy, Haverhill, MA 01835 as the recipient of your charitable giving funds.
Access on-line stores through Benevolink's website and make your purchases.
Periodically return to the Benevolink website to give your earned funds.
Benevolink will email you quarterly prompting you to give your funds if you prefer to wait for a reminder.

For Goodsearch:

Go to www.goodsearch.com
In the "Who do you choose to search for?" window, type in Bradford Christian Academy
Select the Shopping tab
Do your shopping.
Goodsearch will send BCA the designated percentage of your purchase

Collect Boxtops for education

General Mills gives 10¢ per box top collected through their Boxtops for Education program.

Potential impact: if 200 families each collect 200 boxtops over one year BCA will receive $4,000.

How you can collect boxtops:

When purchasing groceries, paper, and cleaning products clip the Boxtop4Education seal from General Mills products. www.boxtops4education.com has a list of the products participating in the boxtops program.
Turn them in to BCA at your convenience. Our Boxtop4Education coordinator, Tina Cook, will redeem them for BCA. We are very grateful for Tina's hard work establishing this program at BCA!

Our ability to raise funds for BCA using these programs depends upon the number of people involved, so please spread the word to friends and family who appreciate the quality Christian education our students receive. We will post information about each program on our website. We will also give you this letter in email form to send to family and friends. Thank you for helping BCA raise funds through these programs!
