Bradford Christian Academy also offers home school families the opportunity to take individual academic and enrichment courses and to participate in our Physical Education and Sports program.The proposed academic course offerings, tuition and more information about the program appear below. Physical Education/Sports Program
Our Physical Education program is offered through Cedardale Health and Fitness, located less than ½ mile from our academic building. The Cedardale staff establishes a personal health and fitness plan for each student, followed by units of instruction in swimming, basketball, tennis, racquetball, volleyball, soccer, and strength training.
Our Sports Teams include Girls’ and Boys’ basketball and soccer teams.
Enrichment Courses
Our Enrichment Courses include Art, PE, Technology, Health, Study Skills and Research Writing, Intro. to Communication Arts, Advanced Theater, and Film. Some enrichment courses are available for 5th grade students.
Program Guidelines
- Home School students need to take a minimum of one academic class to participate in the Cedardale, Art, Music, Sports, and Drama programs unless permission is granted by the Head of School.
- High School courses are usually a full year and meet every other day for 90 minutes or daily for 45 minutes. Middle School (6th-8th grades) courses are full year, meeting daily for 45 minutes. Art, Technology, and PE meet one day/week for 90 minutes. Communication Arts meets 2 days per week for 90 minutes at the high school level.
- Participation in the Home School Enrichment Program requires completion of BCA's standard application procedure and acceptance into the program.
