President and Head of School, Victoria Kennedy
As President and Head of School, Mrs. Kennedy oversees strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, business operations, and a facility expansion scheduled to open September, 2009. As a founder of the school, Mrs. Kennedy has actively participated in the school’s leadership since its inception serving on its Board of Directors of which she is chair. Mrs. Kennedy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College, IL in 1983. In 1984, she joined CASCAP, Incorporated, a non-profit human service organization based in Cambridge, MA. In 1987, she became CASCAP’s Director of Operations. In this role, she managed CASCAP’s business and program operations including real estate acquisition and rehabilitation, property management, and community-based residential support services for frail elder and psychiatrically disabled populations. During her tenure at CASCAP, the number of people served grew from 36 to over 200 and its annual operating budget grew from $250,000 to $4,500,000. She left CASCAP in 1997 to raise a family. Mrs. Kennedy also served on the Board of Directors of the New England Salem Children’s Trust in Rumney, NH for ten years and on the building committee for West Congregational Church in Haverhill, MA where she attends with her husband and three children.

Dean of Academics and Advancement, Loren Hilgenhurst Stevens

As Dean of Academics and Advancement, Loren Hilgenhurst Stevens oversees BCA’s academic program, faculty hiring and development, accreditation activities, and its marketing. As a founder of the school, Mrs. Stevens has actively participated in the school’s leadership since its inception serving as Vice President on its Board of Directors until this year. Mrs. Stevens received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Wheaton College, IL and a Master of Literature and Education from Tufts University. After teaching high school English in North Attleboro, MA, she worked for Addison Wesley Publishing Company as a senior production editor for college mathematics, economics, statistics, and computer science textbooks. In this position Mrs. Stevens worked closely with authors on textbook curriculum and scope and sequence. Mrs. Stevens also managed budgeting, scheduling, copyediting, design, art, and photography ensuring timely and cost-effective publication. In 1997, Stevens completed a degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Graphic Design and moved to the marketing department at Addison Wesley as a graphic designer and copywriter. She left the company in 1999 and subsequently established a free-lance design and production business. She has taught Sunday school, led church youth groups and youth mission trips, and worked with under-privileged youth in Chicago. Mrs. Stevens attends West Congregational Church in Haverhill, MA with her husband and four children.

Business Manager and Dean of Students, Lynda Gott

As Dean of Students and Business Manager, Mrs. Gott oversees BCA’s business operations and student life. Her major focus for student life is maintaining a wholesome community where every learner is encouraged to reach his or her potential. Mrs. Gott received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maine, Orono in 1987 and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Bentley College in 1993. She worked for Randstad (formerly Office Specialists) for 13 years, serving as the Corporate Controller and Director of Financial Operations. Mrs. Gott left the business world to be a founding teacher at Bradford Christian Academy. She moved from the classroom to employ the full range of her skills as an accountant with her gifts for bringing out the best in students by becoming the school’s Business Manager and Dean of Students. She has led the school in the design and implementation of the SafeSpace initiative, a multi-faceted program that promotes safety and encourages positive student interactions. Mrs. Gott was also very involved at Boxford Academy during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 academic years, where she served as the Chairman of the Academy Development Council and as the Parent Representative to the Board of Directors. Lynda is also the Treasurer for the Byfield Parish Church where she attends with her family.

Board of Directors
Michael J. Harrington is the founder of All-Pro Electric an electrical construction company completing a variety of public and private projects throughout New England. He has been in business for the past 16 years. Mr. Harrington is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire operation. In his 16 years in the electrical construction business, Mr. Harrington has worked in a number of capacities including project management, labor relations, and new business development. He also holds a Master Electrical Contractors license in various states throughout the New England area. He has been a member of NECA, National Electrical Contractors Association, for the past 6 years and presently chairs the membership committee for the Boston Chapter. Mr. Harrington is a founding Board of Trustee member for Beacon Christian Academy, which serves students Kindergarten through the 8 th grade and was then re-elected in April of 2003 to an additional 3-year term by the membership of the school.
Janet Hart received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a major in Human Development and a minor in Elementary Education from Lesley College, in Cambridge, MA. In 1996, upon completion of her degree and certification in education, she began her teaching career at the Remington Middle School in Franklin, MA. Two years later Janet transferred to the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District. There she taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades for 4 years. During that time Janet earned her Master of Education degree from Cambridge College in Cambridge, MA. She and her husband, parents of 3 and grandparents of 6, moved to Kingston, NH in 2002 and taught for the Timberlane School District. Janet just recently earned her National Certification in Administration: Principal K-12, from Plymouth State University. In 2005, Janet was promoted to the Sixth Grade Curriculum Coordinator for Timberland Regional Middle School. She attends the First Congregational Church of Kingston and is a leader of Youth Ministry for the church.
Michael Stevens received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wheaton College, IL with an emphasis in education and worked in toxicology research and data management for Arthur D. Little in Cambridge, MA for 10 years. He completed a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Boston University Graduate School of Management in 1993 and then went to work for the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA as an Application Architect, managing clinical computing systems and analyzing business information requirements. In 1995 he took a consulting position with Management Information Consulting where he has worked for the last 11 years. In his role as Senior Consultant, he has traveled the East Coast and Midwest analyzing business information needs and implementing financial, custom, and other business software. Mike has worked with inner-city youth at Glenwood Home for Boys in Illinois, been a college Resident Assistant, led church Sr. High youth groups and mission trips, and taught Sunday school.
